NCRP Commentary No. 15, Evaluating the Reliability of Biokinetic and Dosimetric Models and Parameters Used to Assess Individual Doses for Risk Assessment Purposes

Purchase

NCRP Commentary No. 15 is well described by its title. Following the introduction, the next six sections of the Commentary address in considerable detail the uncertainties associated with models used in radiation protection for: (1) the gastrointestinal tract, (2) the respiratory tract, (3) the skin, (4) internal biokinetics, (5) dosimetry of internally deposited radionuclides, and (6) estimation of radiation doses attributable to radionuclides in the environment. These are followed by sections on the reliability of dose coefficients for estimation of individual risk and a summary.
