The National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) announces the release of Report No 143, Management Techniques for Laboratories and Other Small Institutional Generators to Minimize Off-Site Disposal of Low-Level Radioactive Waste. This Report is the product of Scientific Committee 87-1 chaired by William P. Dornsife, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

This Report offers the Council’s views on management techniques to minimize off-site disposal of low-level radioactive waste. The Report is 230 pages consisting of nine sections, one appendix, a listing of acronyms used in the Report, a Glossary, and 15 pages of references.
